Christian School Administrators, Principals, and other leaders need biblical support and to remain grounded in their personal relationship with Jesus Christ to be effective leaders. It’s like a cell phone: Cell phones have great resources, they can be of great use, and can be used to accomplish awesome tasks, but if those phones aren’t constantly charged, the battery dies, and they become useless. Christian Admins and Leaders are the same way. We need to constantly be connected to our power source (our Lord) to be charged up and effective for service for Him (John 15). Here are a few Bible studies I have personally enjoyed and have helped me be more efficient as a Christian school principal and now as a board member of that school:
The Life of Radical Faith
Written by Jeff Keaton, the founder of Renewanation, “The Life of Radical Faith” details Jeff’s journey and life lessons as a pastor, a father, and the founder of Renewanation. Experiencing God
What can be said about the “Experiencing God” series by Henry Blackaby that hasn’t been said already? It’s a tremendous study into the character of God, of self-examination of ourselves and our personal relationship with the Lord, and our habits. Developing a Christ-Centered Church
Another gem by Henry and Richard Blackaby. While this is centered on developing a Christ-centered church, most of the concepts can easily be distributed into Christian school leadership. These are just a few that I have personally completed and have enjoyed. There are tons of free resources available on the YouVersion Bible app as well that I have used and some are really good.
